Is December 24, 2011 the end of modern civilization?

Here is a video from 1973 from the old television show "In Search Of" that states December 24, 2011 may really be the end of the Mayan calendar:

Be Of The World, Not In It

There are times when the events of the world make me want to live in a cave and I half-way hope that the hollow earth theory might be true. In the spirit of Occupy Wall Street ("OWS") there is a list of ideas (below the picture of the beautiful underground caves of Viet Nam) for how I believe we can make the world a better place that is more in alignment with our best dreams.

Please read it.

1. Stop watching television and ignore the "mainstream" media (MSM), they only exist to co-opt your consciousness;

2. Use hemp products and work for the legalization of marijuana;

3. Buy as little as possible. Bill Hicks said, "Eat rice and beans and only own a pair of jeans and three tee-shirts. Don't buy a suit. F**ck em!";

4. Learn how to sew, cook, and garden; small engine repair might be a good idea too. Then you won't have to eat rice and beans and you can dress better;

5. Support local tradesmen/tradeswomen and local businesses;

6. Get "off the grid" as much as possible. Even if you live in the suburban/urban areas and can't move to a rural area, get "off the grid" as much as possible;

7. Have a 3-6 months supply of storable food;

8. Get a good water filter;

9. Take your vitamins. The re/evolution needs you to be healthy;

10. Stay away from pharmaceuticals, if you can. If you are on them, read how to very carefully and eventually get off of them because they are tricky, and if you go cold-turkey, it could be devastating;

11. Embrace the power of your moral voice because even if you can't "do" anything, just knowing that something isn't right and/or that it is morally wrong shifts consciousness. There is power in thoughts; and

12. Don't despair. We can shift this thing.

Partial (87%) Solar Eclipse on Friday, November 25, 2011

The Moon's shadow will just miss the Earth's South Pole on the 25th of November.

But, while this upcoming partial eclipse will be visible to the southernmost Earth observers, it will be most spectacular to those who happen to be stationed at the southernmost parts of Antarctica.

For those of you stationed very far south, perhaps even at the South Pole itself, you'll be able to observe the Moon's disk slowly work its way across the Sun, covering up, at it's maximum, 87% of the Sun's surface. What's most spectacular about this is that, instead of the just-a-few-minutes duration that solar eclipses often last, because of how slowly the Earth spins near the poles, observers close enough to the South Pole will get to see the Moon spend over an hour, literally, blocking a portion of the Sun.

Two weeks later, on December 10th, we are going to have a total lunar eclipse

Unifying the Masculine and the Feminine
With, what some people are calling the end of the Mayan calendar, on October 28, 2011, and other believe is just the beginning of a three-fold process of change, unity consciousness is supposed to be the result. And, to thrive in the coming years, people will need to be strong and heroic.

Often, people associate strength with heroism. And yet, what is strength? Is it the power of love and understanding? Is it muscular strength? Or, is it the firmness of purpose to purify and eliminate the unnecessary debris floating around in the internal currents of our personality and essence? Is it highly structured and analytical thinking. Is it passion? Or is it detachment?

Personally, I believe strength to be all of these things. It is that which integrates the personality and enriches the essence. R. Buckminster Fuller might describe this as synergy -- the power of the whole as exceeding the power of the individual parts of the whole, much the same way the outcome of a recipe is more important than any of its one isolated ingredients. As anyone knows, a structure is only as strong as its individual components, so there is another concept called potentiation -- the strength of each individual component is augmented by its relation to a unified whole. This is because one strong part cannot make up for a predominantly weak whole.

There has, in the past, been an inherent flaw in the idea of what constitutes heroism.By practising a very one-sided philosophy, whole component parts atrophied, and heroes fell prey to a common misconception. This misconception was that masculine qualities are wholly the province of the male physiognomy and feminine qualities resulted from the lack of male physical traits. Heroic cultures of the past failed to realize that masculine and feminine qualities are the properties of both sexes. Carl Gustav Jung, the famous Swiss psychologist/psychoanalyst wrote extensively on this, eventually formulating his theory of the anima and the animus, the feminine and masculine qualities of the personality, respectively.

I would go so far as to say, a man is one in whom the masculine is greater and the feminine is lesser; and a women is one in whom the feminine is greater and the masculine is lesser. In the past, heroes had their scops, or bards, such as Homer, who lionized the qualities of fighting men and, since battle strategies are something the masculine part of one's personality is better equipped to construct, and masculine qualities were sorely needed in such dangerous times, feminine qualities in those keeping order in such chaotic times could be fatal.

In the long run, however, this produced an uneven and lopsided development in which many societies refused to acknowledge both sides of the coin as it were, which, paradoxically, led to more intolerance and more wars. So we find that in order to preserve a society in the midst of reigning anarchy (a heroic feat in itself), a people stress the personality development that best promotes immediate or short-term survival (understandable). But, in so doing, ultimately stagnating their development as human beings.

With the new energies unleashed by the end of one of the Mayan calendars on October 28, 2011, the disruptive interpenetration of those waves into our consciousness has ended, and we have the opportunity to balance out our consciousness and create a new heroism based on the balance between the masculine and feminine qualities that reside in all of our psyches.

October 28, 2011

Much has been made of October 28, 2011 being the end-date of the Mayan calendar.

When I was eleven, I read that October 28, 2011 was considered one of the possible end-dates of the Mayan calendar. The other end-date was December 21, 2012. Another important date is March 28, 2013, when all of the effects of the end-date of December 21, 2012 are supposed to sort themselves out.

My view on this is that these three dates are important for various reasons. The model I use is the process of adolescence. The first phase of adolescence simply signals its beginning, and has been likened to ringing a bell. It is an inconsequential-seeming process where nothing much appears to occur, but if it does not happen, the child will not start the process to become a young adult. I see October 28, 2011 as being akin to this first phase of adolescence.

The date of December 21, 2012 will be like the second phase of adolescence, where many of the classic changes we associate with the child becoming mature occur. Boys' voices deepen. Girls develop physically into women. Both sexes develop mature sex organs. The child becomes fertile.

The final phase of adolescence is like placing the capstone on a building. Much like the first phase of adolescence, it is often barely noticeable. However, it signals the end of the process. The person is now an adult.

Today, I believe, is when the new world starts. We have all collectively left childhood behind and new energies can be felt by those who are sensitive to them.

Red skies are back

AURORAS IN THE USA: A coronal mass ejection (CME) hit Earth on Oct. 24th at approximately 1800 UT (2:00 pm EDT). The impact strongly compressed Earth's magnetic field, directly exposing geosynchronous satellites to solar wind plasma, and sparked an intense geomagnetic storm. As night fell over North America, auroras spilled across the Canadian border into the contiguous United States.

Saturn's Moon, Titan

Saturn's moon, Titan, has surprisingly Earth-like features.

Unfortunately, it rains methane, which is completely toxic to humans, so it will be a while before we can move there and live on its surface. But eventually, someday, our descendants may live there or visit Titan on a vacation.

Is the Mayan calendar a stone version of the Antikythera Mechanism

Our computers are made of plastic and metal and rare earths, but could the Mayan calendar be a stone computer and a version of  the Antikythera Mechanism?

Maybe the stone calendars of the Mayan were meant to run together they way this Antikythera Mechanism operated made of metal, while our computers are made of plastic and wire.

The Permaculture Bridges of Meghalaya, India

Deep in the rainforests of the Indian state of Meghalaya, bridges are not built, they’re grown.

Ancient vines and roots of trees stretch horizontally across rivers and streams, creating a solid latticework structure strong enough to be used as a bridge.

Some of the bridges are over a hundred feet long and can support the weight of fifty or more people.

The Cherrapunji region is one of the wettest places in the world with many fast-flowing rivers and streams, making these bridges invaluable to those who live in the region.

Since the area receives around 15 metres of rain every year, a normal wooden bridge would quickly rot.

But because the growing bridges are alive and still growing, they actually gain strength over time.

For more than 500 years locals have guided roots and vines from the native Ficus Elastica (rubber tree) across rivers, using hollowed out trees to create root guidance systems. When they roots and vines reach the opposite bank they are allowed to take root.

In time, a sturdy living bridge is produced. Some can take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional.

Three Days of Darkness

According to the visions and prophecies of Marie-Julie Jahenny of La Fraudaise, France, there will be three days of darkness during which "the infernal powers will be loosed and . . . the crisis will explode suddenly; the punishments will be shared by all and will succeed one another without interruption... " (January 4, 1884). Her prophecies follow below the video.

"The three days of darkness "... will be on a THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Days of the Most Holy Sacrament, of the Cross and Our Lady. . . ." three days less one night."
"The earth will be covered in darkness»", says Our Lady on 20th of September 1882, "...AND HELL WILL BE LOOSED ON EARTH. Thunder and lightning will cause those who have no faith or trust in My Power, to die of fear."
"During these three days of terrifying darkness, no windows must be opened, because no one will be able to see the earth and the terrible colour it will have in those days of punishment without dying at once... "
"The sky will be on fire, the earth will split... During these three days of darkness let the blessed candle be lighted everywhere, no other light will shine.... "
"NO ONE OUTSIDE A SHELTER.. will survive. The earth will shake as at the judgement and fear will be great. Yes, We will listen to the prayers of your friends ; NOT ONE WILL PERISH. We will need them to publish the glory of the Cross...(8th of December 1882)"

Apparently, some think there is a link between her prophecies and the Mayan Calendar. Between August 18, 2011 (the Fifth Night of the Ninth and last wave of the Mayan Calendar) and the end of the calendar, which is either October 28, 2011 or December 21, 2012, there will be three days of darkness.

Powerful X-Class Flares from the Sun

Flares happen when the powerful magnetic fields in and around the sun reconnect. They're usually associated with active regions, often seen as sun spots, where the magnetic fields are strongest.

Flares are classified according to their strength. The smallest ones are B-class, followed by C, M and X, the largest. Similar to the Richter scale for earthquakes, each letter represents a ten-fold increase in energy output. So an X is 10 times an M and 100 times a C.

Within each letter class, there is a finer scale from 1 to 9. C-class flares are too weak to noticeably affect Earth. M-class flares can cause brief radio blackouts at the poles and minor radiation storms that might endanger astronauts. Although X is the last letter, there are flares more than 10 times the power of an X1, so X-class flares can go higher than 9.

The most powerful flare on record was in 2003, during the last solar maximum. It was so powerful that it overloaded the sensors measuring it. They cut-out at X17, and the flare was later estimated to be about X45.

A powerful X-class flare like that can create long lasting radiation storms, which can harm satellites and even give airline passengers, flying near the poles, small radiation doses.

X flares also have the potential to create global transmission problems and world-wide blackouts.

More on the antimatter belt found circling Earth

Apparently, we really are a quarantine planet in the universe.

A newly discovered belt of antimatter circling Earth could be an astronaut's best friend. The belt, which consists of antiprotons trapped by Earth's magnetic field several hundred kilometers above the planet's surface, may ultimately become a key source of fuel for missions venturing beyond the solar system.

Researchers analyzing data from the PAMELA (Payload for Antimatter/Matter Exploration and Light-nuclei Astrophysics) satellite, a joint mission among scientists from Italy, Germany, Russia, and Sweden, reported the findings 26 July on and in the 20 August Astrophysical Journal Letters.

"The results are credible and are consistent with models that previously predicted [the belt's] existence," says James Bickford, senior member of the technical staff at the Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who was not part of the study. Bickford's own research predicts that other planets, including Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus, should have similar antiproton belts. Saturn may produce the greatest number of antiprotons because of interactions between cosmic rays—energetic charged particles from space—and the planet's icy rings.

Antiprotons are particles with the same mass as more familiar protons but with opposite charge. To hunt for them, the PAMELA team analyzed data the craft gathered from July 2006 to December 2008 during the first 850 days of its science mission. The researchers, who include Alessandro Bruno of the University of Bari in Italy and the INFN in Bari, focused on a region known as the South Atlantic Anomaly, where Earth's inner Van Allen radiation belt comes closest to the planet's surface and the density of particles encountered by the craft would likely be the highest. In its low Earth orbit, PAMELA regularly plows through this region.

The team identified 28 antiprotons with kinetic energies between 60 million and 750 million electron volts. That number is far higher than scientists would expect to see shooting toward Earth from distant reaches of the galaxy. The antiparticles appear to form a thin belt around Earth, gyrating around Earth's magnetic field lines and bouncing back and forth between the planet's north and south magnetic poles, the team notes. The belt, which extends from a few hundred to about 2000 kilometers above Earth, "constitutes the most abundant source of antiprotons in Earth's vicinity," Bruno says.

Most of the antiprotons come from antineutrons, which are generated when energetic cosmic rays strike the upper atmosphere tens of kilometers above Earth's surface, Bruno notes. The antineutrons escape the atmosphere and then decay into antiprotons at much higher altitudes. Pairs of protons and antiprotons are also directly produced in the cosmic ray collisions with the atmosphere. The antiprotons tend to congregate several hundred kilometers above Earth, where ordinary matter is so scarce that they are unlikely to meet up with their particle counterparts—protons—and destroy each other on contact.
Changes in the energy of particles in the belt could help verify and calibrate models that attempt to quantify the effect on Earth's environment of solar flares and other outbursts from the sun, Bickford notes.

More provocatively, antiprotons in the belt might one day be harvested to fuel missions that would travel far beyond the solar system, Bickford says. The best concepts for antimatter propulsion require that the antiprotons be collected and isolated. At the right moment, the antiprotons would mix with protons and annihilate them to produce highly energetic charged particles to propel the craft. The number of antiprotons needed, however, would exceed the amount in the newly discovered belt or even the much larger belt that may circle Saturn, Bickford says.

But Bickford says some researchers have proposed that a smaller supply of antiprotons, comparable to the population of the belt, could be used as a catalyst to trigger nuclear reactions that would release charged particles. (The antiprotons in this scheme would be gathered into a vast fuel tank, a nearly weightless cloud hundreds of meters long surrounding the craft.)

Traveling at nearly the speed of light, the charged particles produced by the nuclear reactions would fly out of the back end of the craft, propelling it beyond the solar system. In contrast, Bickford notes, a spacecraft using chemical propellant to journey well past the fringes of the solar system at high speed would need a fuel supply more massive than the observable universe.

"Antiprotons are incredibly expensive and difficult to produce and store on Earth," and even the world's most powerful atom smashers could produce and trap only nanograms of the stuff each year, Bickford adds. That's why the antiprotons in the belt are nearly a trillion times more valuable than diamonds, he says.

This Fifth Night of the Mayan Calendar

Thursday August 18, 2011 is the beginning of the Fifth Night of the Mayan Calendar.

Tezcatlipoca as depicted in the Codex Borgia.

Now is when everything moves toward the attractor point, which is the end of the Mayan calendar on, some say October 28, 2011 and others say is December 21, 2012. The Mayan calendar specifically points to the culmination of all of the waves, the events, and the energies, that will result in the resolution of hundreds, thousands, millions, and billions of years of energy dynamics, consciousness, evolution, and transformation.

What will we see in the next weeks and months until October 28, 2011?

5th Nights are periods of destruction. According to Mayan tradition, 5th Nights are ruled by the energy of Tezcatlipoca, the god of darkness.

Tezcatlipoca was the trickster god of night, magic, slaves, earth, war, and is believed to have evolved over time into Santa Muerte, or "Saint Death," although some accounts say that Santa Muerte evolved from the Aztec goddess, Mictecacihuatl the Lady of the Dead, and her husband, Michtecacihuatl.

Mictlanteculhtli was the god of the day sign Itzcuintli (dog), one of the 20 such signs recognized in the Aztec calendar. Mictlanteculhti was regarded as supplying the souls to those who were born on that day. He and his wife are often depicted with their mouths open to accept the stars that they ate and which fell into their mouths from the skies, sustaining their lives.

In addition, Tezcatlipoca was known by several other names with meanings like Sower of Discord, Night, Wind, and He By Whom We Live.

The Aztecs believed
Tezcatlipoca was a god of discord and deceit, often inciting riots and wars between peoples. He carried an obsidian smoking mirror to bewilder Aztec enemies, then leading them on a path to evil, much like the evil Ice Queen from the Han Christian Andersen fairy tale.

English Peasant's Revolt of 1381...And So Finished This Wicked War

English Peasants’ Revolt 1381

Anonimalle Chronicle: Chronicle of the Peasants' Revolt

Source: Medieval Sourcebook.

From Charles Oman, The Great Revolt of 1381 , (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1906), pp. 200-203, 205. © Paul Halsall Feb 1996,
A description, from a chronicle of the time, of the final meeting of King Richard II and the leader of the Revolt - Wat Tyler.

Then the King caused a proclamation to be made that all the commons of the country who were still in London should come to Smithfield, to meet him there; and so they did.

And when the King and his train had arrived there they turned into the Eastern meadow in front of St. Bartholomew’s, which is a house of canons: and the commons arrayed themselves on the west side in great battles.

At this moment the Mayor of London, William Walworth, came up, and the King bade him go to the commons, and make their chieftain come to him. And when he was summoned by the Mayor, by the name of Wat Tighler of Maidstone, he came to the King with great confidence, mounted on a little horse, that the commons might see him.

And he dismounted, holding in his hand a dagger which he had taken from another man, and when he had dismounted he half bent his knee, and then took the King by the hand, and shook his arm forcibly and roughly, saying to him, “Brother, be of good comfort and joyful, for you shall have, in the fortnight that is to come, praise from the commons even more than you have yet had, and we shall be good companions.”

And the King said to Walter, “Why will you not go back to your own country?” But the other answered, with a great oath, that neither he nor his fellows would depart until they had got their charter such as they wished to have it, and had certain points rehearsed and added to their charter which they wished to demand. And he said in a threatening fashion that the lords of the realm would rue it bitterly if these points were not settled to their pleasure.

Then the King asked him what were the points which he wished to have revised, and he should have them freely, without contradiction, written out and sealed. Thereupon the said Walter rehearsed the points which were to be demanded; and he asked that there should be no law within the realm save the law of Winchester, and that from henceforth there should be no outlawry in any process of law, and that no lord should have lordship save civilly, and that there should be equality among all people save only the King, and that the goods of Holy Church should not remain in the hands of the religious, nor of parsons and vicars, and other churchmen; but that clergy already in possession should have a sufficient sustenance from the endowments, and the rest of the goods should be divided among the people of the parish.

And he demanded that there should be only one bishop in England and only one prelate, and all the lands and tenements now held by them should be confiscated, and divided among the commons, only reserving for them a reasonable sustenance. And he demanded that there should be no more villeins in England, and no serfdom or villeinage, but that all men should be free and of one condition. To this the King gave an easy answer, and said that he should have all that he could fairly grant, reserving only for himself the regality of his crown. And then he bade him go back to his home, without making further delay.

During all this time that the King was speaking, no lord or counsellor dared or wished to give answer to the commons in any place save the King himself. Presently Wat Tighler, in the presence of the King, sent for a flagon of water to rinse his mouth, because of the great heat that he was in, and when it was brought he rinsed his mouth in a very rude and disgusting fashion before the King’s face. And then he made them bring him a jug of beer, and drank a great draught, and then, in the presence of the King, climbed on his horse again.

At this time a certain valet from Kent, who was among the King’s retinue, asked that the said Walter, the chief of the commons, might be pointed out to him. And when he saw him, he said aloud that he knew him for the greatest thief and robber in all Kent.... And for these words Watt tried to strike him with his dagger, and would have slain him in the King’s presence; but because he strove so to do, the Mayor of London, William Walworth, reasoned with the said Watt for his violent behaviour and despite, done in the King’s presence, and arrested him.

And because he arrested him, he said Watt stabbed the Mayor with his dagger in the stomach in great wrath. But, as it pleased God, the Mayor was wearing armour and took no harm, but like a hardy and vigorous man drew his cutlass, and struck back at the said Watt, and gave him a deep cut on the neck, and then a great cut on the head. And during this scuffle one of the King’s household drew his sword, and ran Watt two or three times through the body, mortally wounding him.

And he spurred his horse, crying to the commons to avenge him, and the horse carried him some four score paces, and then he fell to the ground half dead. And when the commons saw him fall, and knew not how for certain it was, they began to bend their bows and to shoot, wherefore the King himself spurred his horse, and rode out to them, commanding them that they should all come to him to Clerkenwell Fields.

Meanwhile the Mayor of London rode as hastily as he could back to the City, and commanded those who were in charge of the twenty four wards to make proclamation round their wards, that every man should arm himself as quickly as he could, and come to the King in St. John’s Fields, where were the commons, to aid the King, for he was in great trouble and necessity.... And presently the aldermen came to him in a body, bringing with them their wardens, and the wards arrayed in bands, a fine company of well-armed folks in great strength.

And they enveloped the commons like sheep within a pen, and after that the Mayor had set the wardens of the city on their way to the King, he returned with a company of lances to Smithfield, to make an end of the captain of the commons. And when he came to Smithfield he found not there the said captain Watt Tighler, at which he marvelled much, and asked what was become of the traitor.

And it was told him that he had been carried by some of the commons to the hospital for poor folks by St. Bartholomew’s, and was put to bed in the chamber of the master of the hospital. And the Mayor went thither and found him, and had him carried out to the middle of Smithfield, in presence of his fellows, and there beheaded. And thus ended his wretched life.

But the Mayor had his head set on a pole and borne before him to the King, who still abode in the Fields. And when the King saw the head he had it brought near him to abash the commons, and thanked the Mayor greatly for what he had done.

And when the commons saw that their chieftain, Watt Tyler, was dead in such a manner, they fell to the ground there among the wheat, like beaten men, imploring the King for mercy for their misdeeds. And the King benevolently granted them mercy, and most of them took to flight. But the King ordained two knights to conduct the rest of them, namely the Kentishmen, through London, and over London Bridge, without doing them harm, so that each of them could go to his own home.

Afterwards the King sent out his messengers into divers parts, to capture the malefactors and put them to death. And many were taken and hanged at London, and they set up many gallows around the City of London, and in other cities and boroughs of the south country.

At last, as it pleased God, the King seeing that too many of his liege subjects would be undone, and too much blood split, took pity in his heart, and granted them all pardon, on condition that they should never rise again, under pain of losing life or members, and that each of them should get his charter of pardon, and pay the King as fee for his seal twenty shillings, to make him rich.

And so finished this wicked war.

They are having a really tough time in Norway this summer...

Battle with the bear: An aerial view of the camp shows the four tents with the dead polar bear in the middle of the site having been killed by the group during the struggle

An Eton schoolboy sleeping in a tent was mauled to death by a polar bear yesterday.
Horatio Chapple, 17, was on a £4,000 adventure holiday on a remote glacier near the Arctic Circle.

He suffered terrible injuries to the head and upper body in the early-morning attack.
Four other members of the party were badly hurt as the animal rampaged around the campsite hunting for food. It was eventually shot dead.

A trip-wire system which triggers a charge to scare away polar bears failed to activate, the father of one of the survivors said.

An Excess Of Reality

Jean Baudrillard in 2006 at European Graduate School

Jean Baudrillard characterised the 1990s, with its wishful illusions about the "end of history", as a "stagnant" period in which events were on strike. Eventually the strike was broken by the attacks on the US of September 11 2001. Baudrillard called it "the ultimate event, the mother of all events".

"It is the terrorist model," he wrote, "to bring about an excess of reality, and have the system collapse beneath that excess."

Turkey's Entire Military Command Quits

Turkey's entire top brass quit on Friday night, July 29, 2011, leaving one of America's strongest military's allies leaderless as the country's Islamic government confronts senior officers for conspiring against the prime minister.

Gen Kosaner resigned because he "deemed it necessary," according to a report on NTV Photo: REUTERS

Gen Kosaner and his senior commanders quit just hours after a court charged 22 suspects, including several generals and officers, with carrying out an internet campaign to undermine the government.

"It has become impossible for me to continue in this high office, because I am unable to fulfil my responsibility to protect the rights of my personnel as the chief of general staff," Gen Kosaner told the Hurriyet news group.

Bombing in Oslo, Norway and the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton

Below is an image from the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University. This projects provides people with random number generators. The random number generators are isolated from each other and none of the people who receive them know who else has them or has any way of contacting the others who possess them. Before major events, these random number generators begin to generate an organized series of numbers that synchronize with all of the other locations where they are around the world, indicating something major is about to happen. Essentially, these random number generators begin to generate a not-so-random series of numbers.

Some people have postulated that this means that on some level we are all connected and that these random number generators are synchronizing to warn of an impending event. Before the event occurs, the numbers begin to rapidly increase. When the numbers are graphed, they show an upward trend, anticipating the event. During and immediately after the major events, the data recorded by these generators appear to show that the global mind of humanity is reacting to the event.
The GCP event was set for 6 hours beginning at 13:00 UTC, about an hour before the bomb in the center of Oslo (4:00 pm local time). The result is Chisquare 21936.921 on 21600 for p = 0.053 and Z = 1.616.
